Try one of our inspirational new courses coming very soon to Ashford Gateway Plus. If you've ever wanted to have a go at a new craft then let us get you started.

Making waves in the woollen world is Extreme Knitting - don't worry you don't have to do it in a shark tank! This is a new and super speedy way to create knitted items using big needles and multiple yarns. The beauty of such a knitting style is that you can use all sorts of yarns, even some ripped up fabrics, to create colourful and textured rugs, blankets, snoods, whatever you want to try!

Crochet and Tatting are beautifully intricate crafts that have been around for at least 150 years. Crochet is particularly seeing a surge in popularity again thanks to certain tv shows showcasing new and original ways to use the craft! If you're befuddled by the basics though, our tutor will get you going in no time and you'll be amazed at what you can create.

Patchwork and Quilting is another craft that's being dusted off and is discovering new fans, especially in the current 'make do and mend' climate. If you've ever gathered old pieces of fabric and never been quite sure what to do with them, why not join a course to turn them into something beautiful. You're not limited to just quilts or throws, they make fabulous wall hangings too. This craft can be time intensive but ultimately incredibly satisfying to create your very own heirloom to be passed down the generations... inspiring.

Finally for all those foodies among you, how about the stunning art of Sugarcraft?
