Take Knitting to the Extreme in Deal
30/01/2012 15:22:00
Extreme Sports have long been a feature with daring outdoor sports enthusiasts but now yarn lovers in Deal can challenge themselves with their own new craze, Extreme Knitting! Unlike the phrase would suggest, Extreme Knitting is not knitting undertaken within a dangerous environment, but a new and wonderfully fast method of hand knitting using big needles and multiple strands of yarn simultaneously. This modern knitting technique enables the crafter to make extraordinary and often luxurious home furnishings and garments with a contemporary feel.
Kent Adult Education is running a one day course at Deal Adult Education Centre in Deal on Saturday 25th February 2012 for anyone who would like to give this new way of knitting a go. Whether you are at beginner level or you're an accomplished knitter looking to take your skills to the next level and create big knit projects, this is a great new concept to get involved with. The whole day course will only cost £35.
