Centre information

Built between 1561 and 1577 by Maidstone MP Nicholas Barham, St Faiths is one of the oldest Kent Adult Education buildings. Look for the old photo in reception that was taken at the time the cornerstone was laid for the later extension.The site was once a science and art school which officially opened on 16th October 1894.The foundation stone can be seen on display on the Tuck Inn in the town centre. The Maidstone Centre offers a range of courses including accredited qualifications, the latest fitness trends, and a variety of Art and Craft options. The Centre is well equipped for its many Art courses, having two studios with high ceilings and plenty of natural light.

Nearest Parking: Fremlin Walk
Parking Costs: Sunday to Friday - 5 hours maximum stay at £4.60, £9 over 5 hours. Saturday - 6 hours maximum stay at £8, £9.5 over 6 hours. Evening tariff £2.00 after 7.00pm

Opening times

During term time the office hours are as follows:

Monday to Thursday 8:15am to 9pm (Courses run until 9:30pm)
Friday 8:15am to 5pm (Courses run until 9:30pm)

Outside term time the centre will open during the following times:  

Monday to Friday 8:15am to 5:30pm

Saturday opening times vary, depending on what courses are running.
