Enjoy this Drawing and Sketching Animals course on how to sketch animals. By the end of it students will have a basic knowledge of animal anatomy and illustration techniques, as well as tips on how to draw animals convincingly in motion or at rest.
A range of techniques may be explored, including the combination of watercolour with other media, e.g. pencil, water soluble pencil/crayon. By working mainly from photographic reference and previous sketches, you will practice capturing the texture of fur, feathers etc, and creating the illusion of life and movement.

By the end of the course you should be able to :- complete short, timed watercolour sketches of animals

About the Tutor: Victoria Wainwright

Victoria Wainwright is a professional Artist and Illustrator specialising in pen and ink and printmaking but with a varied background in illustration techniques and briefs. She regularly undertakes commission work where illustration is a feature, and has illustrated a number of published books. Victoria's main interest is in drawing people, capturing their movement and character.
