By the end of this course you should be able to:

How will I be taught?

Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, one to one guidance, group discussions and critiques. You will look at the work of contemporary and historical artists and you will keep a sketchbook/notebook and individual learning plan (ILP) to record goals, ideas, processes and progress. Students will need to understand the potential benefit from the programme of study, read and interpret ideas, communicate responses that are clear, logical and understandable and manage your own time. You will undertake critical reflection and evaluation and be motivated to develop creative skills and enhance/develop personal skills.

What do I need to bring with me?

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements.
Due to COVID restrictions, this class is being offered with a maximum of 8 students due to 2 meter social distancing.
You will need a face mask upon entering Elham Village Hall and while you move within the shared space. However, once you are in the classroom, face masks are not mandatory as you will be seated under the social distancing rules.

Please adhere to the venue's signage and rules. Currently, there is no kitchen facility and we would remind students to bring any cups, flask and drinks with you.
