This course is delivered online using Zoom. You will interact with your tutor and your peers in real time. The course will help you understand the benefits of CBT exercises to improve communication in general but with a focus on family communication.
By the end of the day students should be able to:
1) state the symptoms and effects of a variety of mental health conditions
2) discover what CBT is and how it can help change thinking
3) recognise the various elements of CBT
4) demonstrate the use of CBT exercises
This course is educational rather than therapeutic. General broad ideas will be shared and discussed amongst the group. There could be some sharing of personal experiences. This course is not a replacement for personal therapy and this element will be carefully managed by the tutor.
