This course takes place in our Maidstone centre
For students who have attended a Creative Writing for All (or similar course). We will concentrate on developing new ideas and finding the best way to express them. Each week we will explore a topic or skill and will extend this into a weekly home study task. Students will share their work in the group for discussion and constructive feedback.
In the course you will:
Learn and practice new skills and techniques
Challenge yourself to extend your range and 'voice'
Produce work every week and share it as part of the learning process
Keep a portfolio of work produced, culminating in a sustained mini-project.
How will I be taught?
Each session will include selected readings, discussion, tutor input, writing tasks and peer review.
You will be given oral and written feedback from the tutor, oral feedback from peer review, and opportunities to self-assess throughout the course. You can manage your progress through your Individual Learning Plan which will record your achievements.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and dedicated writing notebook. You will need to have access to the document you wish to thoroughly revise.
What can I do next?
Your tutor will be willing to discuss options with you.
If you are interested in other subjects, please ask at Reception or visit www.kentadulteducation.co.uk
