This is a course to help you improve your English and/or maths whilst also improving your Work Skills. Work Skills courses can be joined at any time of the year. Course levels start from Pre-entry up to L2.
Our Work Skills courses are designed for learners who need to improve their English and maths for a variety of work and employability purposes.
Work Skills (English) courses help you gain the skills to plan and write letters, emails and reports for work, focusing on how to formulate your written work so that it flows logically and sequentially. A Work Skills (Maths) course covers skills required at work, e.g. money-handling, percentage calculations, time management, understanding payslips and work rotas. Although the course is not assessed by an examination, ask your tutor about possible accreditation options (see also below).
Further information regarding the course specification can be in obtained from your tutor once you have been placed into a class.
Please note: this course will require an initial assessment and regular attendance.
