This is an ESOL Level 1/2 level starting virtual then if feasible can change to classroom learning.
You will further develop your skills in speaking and listening, reading and writing and work towards a Trinity L1/2 Reading, Writing and Speaking/Listening exam. Learners will develop knowledge of grammar, written conventions and texts. Learners will have the opportunity to hear a range of varieties of English and be able to apply listening skills. Speaking and listening will be developed in group and individual work to develop communication skills to engage in discussions on familiar topics connected with education, work and social roles in the society.
How will I be taught?
You will work on a variety of activities as a class and in small groups or pairs. This allows the tutor to attend to individual needs as well as to direct the learning of the group as a whole. Homework will be an essential part of the course.
An individual learning plan of work (ILP) is developed between you and the tutor. You will have tutorials with your tutor when you will be able to discuss your progress.
Additionally, your work will be regularly marked by your tutor who will give you oral/written feedback.
What do I need to have with me?
Dictionary, ring binder for handouts and homework, paper and pen.
