Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Linda Barton
Linda has worked in the floristry industry for 35 years having her own florist shop in London for 30 years.She holds her ICSF in floristry and Cert Ed qualifications. She starting her teaching career 10 years ago and enjoys passing on her knowledge to students. A typical comment from a student is: "Really great fun and I learned lots. Super tutor. Thanks."
How will I be taught?
At the start of the course you will work with your tutor to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set out what you want to achieve by the end of the course. You will both monitor and assess your progress throughout the course to ensure your learning needs are being met.
You will complete tasks and assignments according to the course syllabus. You will receive feedback from your tutor.
What do I need to have with me?
A 12" wire wreath ring, binding reel wire, small bundle of 20 guage wires. Small bag of straw or moss. Lots of foliages collected from your garden and woods. Ivy, holly, yew pine. Then to decorate wreath, ribbon ,pine cones, orange slices anything that you want to create your design.
The sundries could be purchased on amazon or florist sundry sites online. You could also try Whittingtons florist wholesalers but you may have to order more than required. A local florist may be able to help you.
The cost of flowers will be approximately £15 per week depending on the flowers that you use.

Everyone is welcome.
Complete beginners with no experience in Floristry.
It is important to note that craft courses are practical, requiring a degree of manual dexterity. Students will need to participate fully to get the most out of the course. If you need to bring a carer with you,or be accompanied by another person please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol
You can access the class from your computer equipped with a camera and a microphone, from a laptop (where the camera and microphone should be built-in), a tablet or a smartphone. Before each lesson, the tutor may send you by email essential lesson information/handouts for you to consult in advance, and before the class starts, the tutor will have sent you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click.
