Who can join this course

This KAE Studio course is designed for those attending purely for leisure purposes.

It is also aimed at those who have reached their permissible limit on our Tailored Learning progression Creative provision and do not want to move on to the range of Vocational or Accredited courses offered.
Everyone is welcome to join this course.

Is this course for me

In this half day Saturday workshop, you will create a beautiful Christmas door wreath for your home using a variety of foliage. You can personalise your wreath by adding items of your choice to add colour and interest.

By empowering our students to become confident, imaginative, and adaptable learners, we aim to develop students' curiosity, resilience, and adaptability, preparing them for future challenges, opportunities, and personal development.

By the end of the course you should be able to:

What will I need for my course

The frame, moss and all the wires you will need are included in the course fee.

In order to make your wreath individual, please bring with you:

- A large carrier bag full of winter foliage: holly, yew, ivy are all suitable.
- Ribbon to make a bow, if required.
- Any decorations you wish to place on the wreath, for example satsumas, dry oranges slices, fir cones, baubles, cinnamon sticks, feathers, beads, tiny toys. Anything is fine.
- Scissors.
- Black bin bag.

What can I do next

Your tutor will advise you on follow-on courses relevant to their subject.
You can also attend Vocational or Accredited courses in a range of the Creative subjects on offer.

Additional Information

For Health & Safety, please do not wear open toed shoes.

It is important to note that art and craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. Also, please make your tutor aware of any pre-existing health conditions that may impact on your learning.
If you need to bring a carer with you, or another adult please speak to the Curriculum Leader for the course.
