This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners
Do you want to get the most out of your trip to Lille, France when we are finally able to holiday again? Curious about what the city has to offer? Or ever wanted to know a bit about its history? Then this course is for you!
In this short course you will learn about Lille's most interesting and important features. You will also build on your fluency in being able to find your way around the city, talk to the locals and describe the city to others.
Successful students will be able to:
• Learn about Lille and be able to compare and contrast it with other French towns
• Recall some of the landmarks and treasures to see there.
• Use language and vocabulary which will allow you to get around the city and talk to the locals
• Demonstrate an improvement in accuracy, fluency or accent in speaking.
How will I be taught?
Students are expected to participate in oral classroom activities under the guidance of the tutor. The course will be taught both in French and English to help absolute beginners. The more advanced students will be given opportunities to speak and complete the activities in French. Sharing your knowledge and experience of France regions and landmarks will be welcome. Your tutor will monitor your progress throughout the day and will provide oral feedback.
What do I need to have with me?
Students may want to bring writing material for their notes.
