This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners
Would you like to develop your French conversation skills? This short course offers you the opportunity to use conversational French in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment with the aim to improve your fluency and accuracy. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss current events and personal interests in pairs and small groups. By the end of the course students will be able to:- socialise and be understood in a variety of situations, - exchange views more confidently on a range of topical subjects. - use language appropriate to the situation and subject. - Improve pronunciation You will gain a more in-depth socio-cultural knowledge of the country where the language is spoken.
How will I be taught?
This course will be delivered online. Students will join the class from home and be able to exchange and in interact with other learners as they would in the classroom (speaking, listening, writing in the chat box).
A variety of teaching strategies will be used. Students will converse in pairs, groups and may take part in role plays. While there is no formal assessment your learning will be evaluated in informal ways such as questioning and discussion. You can manage your progress through your Individual Learning Plan which will record your achievements.
What do I need to have with me?
This is a conversation course, we encourage students to only rely less on notes and books.

What do I need to join the course
Anyone who can speak some French and wants to practise conversation. Come along if you have studied French before. The course is open to students of all levels who want to reinforce and refresh their conversational skills. You can access the class from your computer equipped with a camera and a microphone, from a laptop (where the camera and microphone should be built-in), a tablet or a smartphone. Before each lesson, the tutor may send you by email essential lesson information/handouts for you to consult in advance, and before the class starts, the tutor will have sent you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click.
