This course will be delivered live online using Zoom.
Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga, consisting of moving all areas of the body from the feet and legs up to and including the head and neck whilst seated on a chair, to improve circulation and mobility of the physical body. Also the course includes using different breathing and relaxation techniques to relax and calm the mind and body.
Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Susan Swete Davies
Susan Swete Davies has a British Wheel of Yoga Diploma, is on the Register of Excercise Professionals ( REP) and is an experienced Yoga tutor.
How will I be taught?
All movements, breathing and relaxation will be taught with the students seated on a chair and the tutor will instruct, demonstrate and participate with the students to help them to achieve their learning goals
Through 1:1 feedback from the tutor and using an individual learning plan.
What do I need to have with me?
Students will need to be in loose clothing to allow full movement of their joints and limbs
What can I do next?
Students may want to continue practice of postures at home, or if they feel able can progress to the Yoga for All Course
What do I need to join the course
A keen interest in using exercise to promote better health and well-being
The course is suitable for students that have difficulty with balance or anyone with limited movement concentrating on stretching and toning all the muscles of the body to achieve physical and mental fitness to enhance their health and wellbeing.
