An introduction to massage techniques using basic and aromatherapy oils.
The course will cover the health and safety aspects of massage, including contra-indications to massage, and you will also learn a massage routine covering main parts of the body. Each lesson will involve pair work and some undressing of the upper body, which will be treated sensitively to maintain student dignity. Students will have the opportunity to practise massage routines on themselves and others and will be made aware of the benefits of massage for stress and tension relief.
By the end of the course students will be able to: perform a basic massage routine safely, name a number of contra-indications associated with massage.
There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking.
