This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners.

This 'Microsoft® PowerPoint - Introduction' course will provide an overview of the major functions of a presentation package including an effective way to combine text, data and images to create an engaging slideshow. Shortcuts, hints and tips will be shared.

By the end of the course you should be able to:

- Develop a presentation using a range of slide templates;
- Combine text, data and images to design effective slides;
- Use a range of formatting tools to create a definite style for the presentation;
- Review, test and edit the presentation.

On successful completion of this course you will be provided with an attendance certificate.

There will be a 1 hour break for lunch.

About the Tutor: Lynn Smith

Lynn Smith is an experienced tutor and has been teaching computing for more than 8 years. She teaches a wide range of computing courses including beginners courses and qualification courses for the workplace.

How will I be taught?

Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, including one to one guidance and group critiques to support you in achieving your goals. The course will be taught in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, which will try to cater for your individual needs. Your tutor will provide feedback throughout the course.

You will complete an end of course evaluation at the end of the day.

Our computing courses are taught using the Windows® 10 operating system and Microsoft® Office 2016 software.
