The fame of Russian literature spreads far and wide. While some enjoy heavy classics such as War and Peace, others might be looking for a more accessible gateway into the Russian literature. This short course is for the curious minds and it will open the door to this very enigmatic country.
You will be involved in activities to better grasp some of the key literary passages chosen for this course.

How will I be taught?

The focus will be on oral communication (speaking and listening) and some reading and writing will also be included. Pronunciation and Russian culture are an integral part of the course. The course will be conducted mainly in English although tere will be plenty of occasion to reflect on lnaguage structures, differences between the original book and the translation in English.

What do I need to have with me?

The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.
