This course will be held at Maidstone Adult Education Centre.
This course is a fun and creative workshop where you will be shown how to make your very own Christmas decorations using a range of textiles. The tutor will guide you through the process and there will be different styles to choose from. This course will be held in our fullly equipped Textiles room where students can make use of the equipment and resources available.
Who is the tutor?
About the Tutor: Nadja Yeates
Nadja has 20 years experience working in design and garment construction. After graduating from a degree in fashion design she worked in New Zealand for a fashion company before successfully ran a business making bespoke fabric bags back in England.
In recent years she has worked freelance for companies such as French Connection as well as making si-fi costumes sold world wide. Nadja has taught art and textiles at further education level. Currently Nadja runs the children's wear business COPHOUGH with her partner.
How will I be taught?
The tutor will deliver demonstrations as well as 1:1 guidance.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need a pair of sharp scissors and a pen, there will be a range of textiles available for you to use but you may have some that you would like to bring along to use.
