How will I be taught?
The emphasis in this course is on speaking and listening. The lessons focus on language that is required in authentic situations. To help you develop language skills the course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. You will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role-play and games etc.). To ensure your progression, it is essential to attend on a regular basis. We also recommend that you spend 1 to 2 hours each week doing private study as directed by your tutor.
With your tutor you will monitor and record your progress on your learning plan (ILP)
What do I need to have with me?
The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.
What can I do next?
There are short courses after this aimed to reinforce learning. The courses are titled “Spanish Beginners - Summer School” or Spanish Beginners Module C
After this, the next appropriate follow-on course is a Beginners Plus course. The tutor will be able to advise or check www.kentadulteducation.co.uk.
