By the end of the course, successful students will be able to:

- Add information in the past / present tense when Introduce yourself and others

- describe past and present situations

- express likes and dislike

- express opinion and build up more complex sentences

- extract information from listening and reading sources

You will be given homework to reinforce classroom learning.

How will I be taught?

The emphasis on this course is on listening and speaking. The lesson focus on language that is required in authentic situations. To help you develop language skills the course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language. You will work through different activities individually, in pairs and in small groups, using a variety of learning methods and resources (role-play, games…). To ensure your progression, it is essential to attend on a regular basis. We also recommend that you spend 1 – 2 h each week doing private study as directed by your tutor.
With your tutor, you will monitor and record your progress on your learning plan (ILP)

What do I need to bring with me?

The course book will be discussed at the first session if appropriate. Students will need to bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts, although we advise students not to buy anything until after the first session.

What can I do next?

The tutor will suggest the next course which is usually another Intermediate or Intermediate plus course.

What do I need to join the course

For anybody who is looking to improve the practical speaking and listening skills needed to cope with day to day scenarios when travelling and socialising in Hispanic speaking countries.
