This is a short course for the budding scientists out there or for those who just love to play with fabrics and yarn. We will be learning about fibre identification using burn and wet tests to help you determine the fibre make up of any mystery textile or yarn. These skills are especially useful if you are a charity shop yarn scavenger like me and have acquired many unlabelled cones of yarn for textile projects. Understanding your Clothes on the 2nd September is a good precursor to this course.
