On this 2-hour taster course in Sittingbourne, you will be introduced to the craft of handmade jewellery making. You will be learn some basic beadwork and jewellery techniques and make a piece of jewellery to take home with you. The course will give you a chance to try this craft and the see if you would like to join the longer course which follows on Tuesday evenings with this tutor. About the Tutor: Debbie France
Debbie France teaches creative jewellery, precious metal clay and fused glass courses. She loves to help students to create their own pieces that they will enjoy wearing and using.
How will I be taught?
Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques. Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are practising craftspeople.

What do I need to join the course
Everyone is welcome to join this course. No prior knowledge or experience is required. It is important to note that craft courses are practical, requiring a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol.
You can access the class from your computer equipped with a camera and a microphone, from a laptop (where the camera and microphone should be built-in), a tablet or a smartphone. Before each lesson, the tutor may send you by email essential lesson information/handouts for you to consult in advance, and before the class starts, the tutor will have sent you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click.
