This is an online course delivered using Zoom, in real time with live interaction with your tutor and fellow learners.

An opportunity to try painting birds using some basic watercolour techniques before you commit to a longer course.

Who is the tutor?

About the Tutor: Victoria Wainwright

Victoria Wainwright is a professional Artist and Illustrator specialising in pen and ink and printmaking but with a varied background in illustration techniques and briefs. She regularly undertakes commission work where illustration is a feature, and has illustrated a number of published books. Victoria's main interest is in drawing people, capturing their movement and character.

How will I be taught?

This course will be delivered online. Students will join the class from home and be able to exchange and in interact with other learners as they would in the classroom (speaking, listening, writing in the chat box). This measure is dictated by circumstances.

During this session the tutor will demonstrate basic techniques and give one to one guidance.
Your tutor will give you feedback during the session.

What do I need to have with me?

We will be providing everything you need for this taster session, but if you would like to bring your own materials or sketch book you are welcome.

What do I need to join the course

Everyone is welcome to come along, but please enrol in advance as places are limited.
Anyone who would like to see what an art class is like before joining, view our facilities and meet one of our tutors.

You can access the class from your computer equipped with a camera and a microphone, from a laptop (where the camera and microphone should be built-in), a tablet or a smartphone. Before each lesson, the tutor may send you by email essential lesson information/handouts for you to consult in advance, and before the class starts, the tutor will have sent you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click. The system is free, secure and easy to use. Should you have questions about the required equipment, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or by email.
