How will I be taught?
Students will need to look at the work of other artists both contemporary and historical and keep a sketchbook/notebook to record goals, ideas, processes and progress. It is important to note that art courses are practical, requiring a degree of manual dexterity. Students will need to participate fully to get the most from the course.
One to one guidance, group critiques, self-assessment against individualised learning outcomes stated on the Individual Learning Plan.
What do I need to have with me?
If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
What can I do next?
The tutor will advise.
