How will I be taught?
Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, one-to-one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques.
At the start of the course you will work with your tutor to develop an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set out what you want to achieve by the end of the course. You will both monitor and assess your progress throughout the course to ensure your learning needs are being met. There are no formal exams or tests to complete on this course
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring any sewing equipment you already have such as scissors, pins and flexible tape measures.
If you have your own sewing machine please bring it with you, but we have plenty of machines you can use if you don't.
What can I do next?
You could take further craft sewing, dressmaking or soft furnishing courses to develop your sewing skills. Your tutor will be able to advise you on the appropriate next steps.
What do I need to join the course
This course is for students who have been sewing and can use a commercial pattern.
Previous sewing experience is necessary as you will be working on individual projects.
