How will I be taught?
The course will combine taught sessions with opportunities to research your own family history. We will use computers and online resources. You will be asked to do some tasks at home such as interviewing family members.
Your tutor will encourage and advise on a 1-1 basis you throughout the course. Your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) will outline goals and objectives to ensure that you are making progress or achieving learning outcomes.
What do I need to bring with me?
You may also be required to pay additional costs if you intend to access some internet sites in your own research. Paper, pen and ring binder.
What can I do next?

What do I need to join the course
Everyone is welcome to join this course. No prior knowledge or experience of Family History is required but basic computer skills, using a keyboard, mouse and computer to access the internet at home or in a local library would be needed.
A registration with Ancestry may be required at extra costs. The course takes place in the computer room.
