How will I be taught?
Our courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills and techniques and to acquire an understanding of the subject. Tutors will use a variety of methods including demonstrations, instructions, one to one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques. Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are experienced artists.
Your tutor will monitor your progress against the outcomes of the course using an Individual Learning Plan. You will get to add your own goals to this document so that you can see what progress is being made. Your tutor will offer you support and guidance on how you can achieve your goals and improve your skills and technique.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need to own or have access to a digital SLR camera which you will need to bring to every lesson. A notebook and pen would also be helpful for keeping notes.
What can I do next?
Photography - Coast and Camera is a one day course and would provide an opportunity to practise and hone the skills learnt in this course.
What do I need to join the course
Some previous experience using a camera is essential for those wishing to join this course. Please speak to a member of staff to get further information if you are not sure whether this course is for you. You will also need a digital SLR camera for every lesson. The course is for people who have a good understanding of digital photography and want to gain professional techniques to be used in the workplace as a professional job. This course is not suitable for beginners.
