How will I be taught?
Your tutor will demonstrate exercises and routines and will talk you through all movements. Activities will be adapted to suit individual needs and capabilities. You will be carefully observed to ensure that you are working safely and be encouraged to monitor and record your progression on the course. You will be asked to complete a health questionnaire before the start of the course which must be given to your tutor at your first session. Your tutor will be happy to discuss any concerns before or after each session. All our classes are monitored for quality purposes and occasionally a visitor may attend your class to observe the teaching and learning taking place. We want you to enjoy learning with us.
Your progress will be monitored through a Learning record and your own personal learning diary or fitness log.
What do I need to bring with me?
You will need supportive, comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement. Denim jeans, formal trousers, skirts or dress are not suitable for this activity. You should wear shoes with a soft sole. Sandals, boots or any footwear with a high heel are not recommended. You may be advised not to take part if you are not dressed appropriately. Students are advised to bring their own mats and may also wish to bring a towel. Please bring water and avoid eating one and a half hours prior to exercising.
