How will I be taught?
Our craft courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop, skills, techniques and to acquire an understanding of a specific craft. Students will also be expected to research and respond to the design aspects of craft. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstrations, instructions, one to one tutorial guidance, group discussions and critiques. Teaching will be appropriate to each students' needs and encourage students to gain confidence as they develop their creative skills in new and varied ways. You will receive regular feedback from your tutor to monitor progress.
What do I need to bring with me?
Notebook, glass cutter (available at glaziers), goggles apron or overall. Shoes or trainers to be worn - not open footwear. A charge of £20 to cover initial project. Information on ordering materials for further projects will be given.

This stained glass course in Deal at the Astor Theatre is for beginners and those who wish to refresh their skills or produce more in-depth projects both in 2D or 3D, using the copperfoil technique which was introduced by Louis Tiffany to produce more intricate pieces of work.
It is important to note that most craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity.
