How will I be taught?
The focus will be on oral communication (speaking and listening). Students may converse in pairs or groups, with participants of different levels and skills with the aim to encourage everyone to contribute and progress. Pronunciation is an integral part of the course. The course will be conducted mainly in the foreign language.
Initial assessment will be carried out at the beginning of the course to assess individual skill level. Each student starting point will be recorded on an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and targets will be set. These will be revisited at the end of the course to monitor and record progress. Tutors will give verbal feedback.
What do I need to bring with me?
Students can bring a pen and paper but the aim is to practice speaking.
