How will I be taught?
This course will be delivered online. Students will join the class from home and be able to exchange and in interact with other learners as they would in the classroom (speaking, listening, writing in the chat box). This measure is dictated by circumstances and the course will be delivered back in the classroom as soon as possible. Our tutors are very experienced in their field, are trained to teach adults and are committed to ensuring that students enjoy their courses with Kent Adult Education. Each tutor strives to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere where students can work at an appropriate pace. Teaching methods are varied, and incorporate many styles including group work, pair work, some individual work and in some cases self study. If you have a disability and think it may affect your learning in the classroom, or using any of our other services, please speak to us in confidence as soon as possible. We will discuss options with you and do our best to provide the support you would like.
This is an introductory course, so you are not expected to bring any knowledge, but we will be interested to find out how much you have gained from the course by the end.
What do I need to bring with me?
We advise students not to purchase equipment, books or materials until after the first session of the course unless otherwise stated but a pen, paper and a folder will be helpful along with a willingness to take part in discussions.

This forms part of the Introduction to Psychology Courses, so would be ideal for someone who is looking to continue their study of psychology. Equally this course runs as a stand-alone option and can be studied without any prior knowledge of psychology.
. You can access the class from your computer equipped with a camera and a microphone, from a laptop (where the camera and microphone should be built-in), a tablet or a smartphone. Before each lesson, the tutor may send you by email essential lesson information/handouts for you to consult in advance, and before the class starts, the tutor will have sent you by email an invitation to join, which will be a simple weblink to click.
