How will I be taught?
Each workshop will commence with clear learning outcomes and more often or not, a tutor demonstration, taking you step by step through the process.
One to one guidance is an essential part of learning and development, along with group discussions and informal critiques.
Your tutor will encourage and advise on a 1-1 basis where necessary, however be aware that students will be working on different individual projects and class numbers can be 1-12 at times.
You will complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) in the second session, this will establish your starting point and will aid your development throughout the course whilst learning new or improving on current skills.
What do I need to bring with me?
A well equipped sewing kit to include large and small scissors, hand and machine needles, seam ripper, tape measure, pins, threads, paper scissors, ruler, notebook, pencil and rubber.
As the course continues you will need to buy paper patterns, fabric and haberdashery.
More experienced students may bring a pattern and fabric to the first session, beginners will be given advice and guidance on a good starting project.
