How will I be taught?
The course will be taught in a friendly but focused atmosphere, where your individual needs are catered for. Your tutor will use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and ensure that you achieve your full potential. Teaching and learning are carried out through formally taught sessions, discussion, group work, and supported with role play, worksheets and resource books, practice papers, home study, feedback and evaluation.
What do I need to bring with me?
Notebook, pens, pencils and a folder. You may also be required to purchase some texts. Your tutor will advise at the first session.

What do I need to join the course
A pre-course assessment is held before enrolment to confirm that the course is suitable for you and flexible support is available online and through our KAE Skills centres. At the first session of the course, the tutor will set out the commitment necessary to achieve a grade 4 or 5 which is equivalent to a C grade on the old GCSE exam.
This GCSE English Language course is suitable if you are seeking employment or career advancement, wishing to help your children with school work or just looking for a new challenge. Please note that you should be able to follow spoken and written instructions, read handouts/exercises and take part in group discussions.
