About this course
This practical course will introduce you to the art of arranging flowers in a country garden style. It’s a great starting point if you’re a beginner – or are looking to gain some flower arranging confidence, and develop your skills. , , You’ll need to bring your own scissors or secateurs, flowers, greenery and mechanics (that’s flower foam, containers and so on - some of these will be available to buy from the tutor, by prior arrangement). , , By the end of this course you’ll be able to:, , - create a variety of flower arrangements in different styles using fresh flowers and foliage, - confidently apply floristry techniques to an appropriate level, - understand the care and conditioning needs of a variety of plant materials, - show a knowledge and understanding of seasonal plant materials, - demonstrate an awareness of flower arranging basic design , , There is no homework requirement for the course, but you will need to provide your own flowers for class each week., , Students should budget £10-15 per session for flowers. The building can only be accessed via the side door which is situated to the left of the main entrance at the corner of the building. There is an entry system via a buzzer.
