How will I be taught?
The Understanding Mental Health course uses learner-centred teaching in a supportive environment, aiming to help students develop their skills and increase their knowledge. We will use a range of discussion, case studies, questionnaires and audio/visual methods to explore the topic.
There are opportunities to discuss the content with the tutor, who can provide feedback and suggestions.
This is an introductory course, so you are not expected to bring any knowledge, but we will be interested to find out how much you have gained from the course by the end.
What do I need to bring with me?
Pen and paper for notes might be useful but we advise students not to purchase equipment, books or materials until after the first session of the course unless otherwise stated.
What can I do next?
We are currently offering a whole series of courses exploring mental health. See our website at www.kentadulteducation.co.uk for further information or ask your tutor for details.
What do I need to join the course
Anybody can join the course.
