How will I be taught?
You will be taught using a range of techniques including presentation, demonstration, practical exercises and one to one tuition.
What do I need to bring with me?
You NEED to have a CAMERA, preferably an SLR type camera, or similar high functioning camera, with normal hot-shoe connection, or flash sync connection (this is the normal mount for a flashgun. Please note Sony cameras may need an extra adaptor to fit college equipment. It can be a film or digital SLR camera. You will need a memory card and charged batteries for your camera.
A pen and paper to take appropriate notes. A folder or file to keep notes and handouts. Perhaps some of your own photos to show.
Use of a PC away from the college with image manipulation software of some kind installed is useful, but not necessary. And some form of memory storage such as a CD burner or USB flashdrive to store images.
What can I do next?
This course can help in progression to further photographic, web or graphic design courses and work.
