About this course

This is a short course in which we will work to complete a small quilted bag project with a patchwork design which will enable you to learn the basic techniques which can be applied to making your own larger projects.
You will learn to construct this using a basic patchwork technique and sewing by hand or machine. You will then quilt the patchwork fabric you have created and construct the bag, learning how to add binding as you do so. You may add embellishments of your choice to really personalise your finished project.

By the end of the course you will:
• be able to use scissors or a rotary cutter safely and successfully to cut accurate pattern pieces
• have used a basic patchwork block
• have quilted a piece of patchwork fabric
• be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines
