Starting your next step after school can feel exciting, uncertain or a bit of both. Whether you're not quite sure what you want to do yet, want to build confidence, improve your skills, gain a Level 2 English and Maths qualification or take a clear step towards work, KAE Future Pathways is here to support you.
KAE Future Pathways is a new and exciting learning offer from Kent Adult Education, created especially for young people aged 16-18, or up to 25 if you have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Formerly delivered through Kent Training and Apprenticeships, these well-established programmes are now part of the Kent Adult Education family - bringing together proven quality, expert support and strong employer links under one name.

Learning that's built around you
At KAE Future Pathways, we understand that everyone starts from a different place. Our programmes are designed to help you build skills, confidence and independence, whatever your goals may be.
We offer a range of tailored pathways including:
- Study Programmes
- Supported Internships
- Traineeships
- ESOL for 16-18 year olds
All of our provision focuses on helping you gain the personal, social and employability skills you need to succeed - not just in learning, but in life and work too.
You'll learn in supportive environments, guided by experienced staff who take the time to understand your strengths, challenges and ambitions. We know that confidence grows when you feel supported, encouraged and understood and that's at the heart of everything we do.

Real-world skills and clear progression
KAE Future Pathways is about more than qualifications. Our programmes help you develop practical, real-world skills such as communication, teamwork, independence and resilience - the skills employers value most.
Whether your goal is to move into further education, start a job, continue into an apprenticeship or develop your independence through supported routes into employment, we'll help you take meaningful steps forward. Our strong links with employers mean learning is relevant, purposeful and designed to prepare you for what comes next.

Not sure what's next? You're not alone
If you're feeling unsure about your future, you're not alone - and you don't need to have all the answers right now. KAE Future Pathways is there for young people who want direction, encouragement and a chance to discover what they're capable of. Through personalised support and clear progression opportunities, we'll help you explore your options, build confidence and move forward at a pace that works for you.

Information for parents, carers and referrers
KAE Future Pathways also offers a valuable opportunity for parents and carers looking to support a young person into education, training or employment. Referrers and partner organisations are welcome to get in touch to find out more about how our programmes support positive outcomes for young people with a wide range of needs and ambitions.
