Start your education journey with a course specifically designed for 16-18 year olds who are seeking asylum in the UK. ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) courses support learners with reading, writing and speaking English. If you are not in any other education provision, we can support you to gain recognised qualifications and life skills. Our dedicated team will support you with your Personal Education Plans and your next steps. Subject to eligibility, you may qualify for financial support with travel.

What are ESOL courses?

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages courses support learners with reading, writing and speaking English
  • Our ESOL for 16-18 year old courses are 3 days a week, full academic year courses
  • They are designed for 16-18 year olds who want to learn English as a second language and are asylum seekers
  • They provide an opportunity to progress into other study programmes with KAE Future Pathways or other further education providers
  • They are an opportunity to participate in team building activities

  • Functional Skills Maths qualification with an internationally recognised exam board
