Is this course for me

This course is for learners working at levels E3+ that would like to improve their English reading and comprehension skills. This can be to support your Functional Skills or ESOL exams, or just for general improvement.

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.

Assessment is needed before joining this course. Please contact your local centre to complete an application.

As part of your funding agreement, you must attend at least 85% of your lessons, complete any required self study and all necessary qualifications you are enrolled on. You may be withdrawn if you do not attend regularly. If you have a pre arranged commitment booked during term time, please contact your tutor to catch up on any missed work.
