Course aims

By the end of the course you should be able to:

* Enhance the visual quality of online photographs by developing practical photography skills tailored for digital platforms and social media
* Explore the purpose and impact of images online, understanding how composition, lighting, and editing influence the message conveyed through visual content
* Learn platform-specific photography strategies, adapting images for optimal performance and engagement on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), and others
* Develop a personal visual style or brand, using photography to consistently express identity or message across various online platforms
* Build confidence in curating and sharing impactful imagery, ensuring that photographs are not only high quality but also relevant and meaningful to the intended audience

Additional Information

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.
