This course, "Supporting Your Child with Maths (7-11 years) Webinar", is designed for parents who wish to enhance their children's mathematical skills during the critical primary school years. The course provides practical strategies, tools, and activities that can be used at home to support and strengthen children's understanding of key mathematical concepts.
Participants will learn how to make maths fun and engaging through interactive games, real-life problem-solving, and hands-on activities. The course covers essential topics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and basic geometry. It also emphasises the importance of developing a positive attitude towards maths and building children's confidence in their abilities.
Throughout the course, parents will explore ways to create a supportive learning environment, foster a growth mindset, and encourage perseverance in the face of challenges. Additionally, the course will integrate British values, teaching children the importance of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance through various maths-related activities.
By the end of the course, parents will have a toolkit of resources and techniques to help their children succeed in maths, laying a strong foundation for their future academic achievements.
