Bonaventure's Story

Building Confidence and New Opportunities Through KCC Skills Bootcamp

Before joining the Skills Bootcamp, I was working for a healthcare agency. Although I was committed to building a career in the sector, I faced practical challenges such as long commutes and difficulty with transportation, which made finding consistent work quite hard. I knew I needed more skills, more confidence and a stronger CV if I wanted to progress.

I decided to sign up for the Bootcamp because I wanted to gain more knowledge and experience, develop my skills, and improve my chances of securing better opportunities. I hoped the programme would help me grow professionally and support me in moving forward.

"My employment situation has positively changed since completing the Bootcamp."

During the Bootcamp, I learnt a great deal, which enabled me to develop a wide range of new skills in person-centred approaches in adult health and social care. The training was professional, thorough, and engaging. I felt supported throughout, especially through the employability guidance I received. This included help with constructing a professional CV, improving my employability skills, and learning how to present myself effectively in applications and interviews.

Completing the Bootcamp has had a positive impact on my employment situation. My confidence has grown, my skills have increased, and I feel more motivated than before. The Bootcamp has enhanced my employability and helped me feel more prepared for opportunities in the health and social care sector.

I am very satisfied with the experience. The training was professional, engaging and has equipped me with new skills. I would definitely recommend the Skills Bootcamp to others because I want other people to experience the same growth, knowledge and skill development that I have gained.
