You must meet the entry requirements for the course
- You must be a UK national, or an Irish national, or an EEA national with pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement scheme
- You must have been resident in the UK or an EEA country continuously for the 3 years preceding the start date of your course. For learners living in the Greater London Authority area only you must have valid permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months in duration from the start date of your course
- If you are seeking asylum, you must be currently living in the UK and applied for asylum at least 6 months prior to the beginning of the learning programme
- You must be aged 19 or over as at the 31st August 2024 for courses in the 2024/25 academic year
- You must agree to commit to and complete an Individual Learning Plan in agreement with your course tutor

This course is designed for adults who want to deepen their journaling practice and develop their personal writing skills further. Building on basic journaling techniques, this course explores a wider range of styles, prompts, and approaches to help you express yourself more freely, reflect more meaningfully, and discover your unique writing voice.
We’ll experiment with different forms of journaling—reflective, expressive, creative, and observational—while exploring themes such as memory, identity, gratitude, and wellbeing. The course encourages regular practice in a supportive environment, helping you build confidence, routine, and self-awareness through writing.

Work Skills/Vocational courses are designed as an introduction into the professional practice needed to progress in a Creative discipline. They are the perfect vocational course for anyone looking to take the first steps in starting a career or progressing onto further work skills or accredited courses. The focus of this course is to work on foundational skills and hone these to a high enough standard to potentially work in this field in the future. As part of this course, there is an expectation that you will attend an online session by the National Careers Service.
