Who can join this course

This course is designed for adults who want to develop clear, confident, and effective presentation skills for both professional and everyday situations. Learners will explore techniques for structuring a presentation, engaging an audience, using visual aids, and managing nerves. The course also supports the development of voice projection, body language, and clear messaging.

Course aims

By the end of the course you should be able to:

* Develop techniques for speaking clearly and confidently in front of others
* Practise using tone, pace, and body language to enhance communication
* Use visual aids and slides to support and strengthen a message
* Adapt presentation style for different audiences and settings

You will also be asked to think of Personal Aims to individualise your learning experience, as well as another benefits the course may have.

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.
