Who can join this course

This course is designed for adults who want to develop practical skills in planning, organising, and delivering events.
You will learn how to generate ideas, set objectives, manage budgets, and coordinate logistics, while also developing key employability skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. The course will cover different types of events—from community gatherings and workplace functions to online event, providing activities to help you design and present your own event plan.

Course aims

By the end of the course you should be able to:

* Develop practical skills in budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
* Explore teamwork and leadership skills within an event context
* Build confidence in problem-solving and managing unexpected challenges

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.
