Who can join this course
If you are NOT one of KAE's progressing Level 2 students, you will need to complete an online application form available at this link - https://forms.office.com/r/5GDWBwXyB3
Following submission of your application, you will also need to make arrangements to complete the online literacy assessment at this link - https://forms.office.com/r/9bT9NA3jv6
This checks your suitability for the course and helps identify any additional support required. If you are successful with your application and assessment, you will then need to book an interview slot by calling 03000 412222. The interview involves an informal and honest discussion with a Counselling tutor about your personal readiness, the content and level of the course which then ensures that you understand the personal, educational and financial commitments.
If you are an existing Counselling Skills Level 2 (CSK-L2) student with Kent Adult Education, your tutor will make a recommendation as to whether you are ready to progress to Level 3. If you are approved you will be given evidence of this and a password so you can enrol without going through the application process.
To be successful in all aspects of this course, it is recommended that you don't enrol if you have undergone a life-changing experience during the last 12 months as there is a high expectation for personal self-reflection on past life experiences.

Is this course for me
This qualification is not suitable for those who are currently in a state of severe emotional difficulty and/or severe psychological distress.
