Who can join this course

Digital Skills courses are available for UK or Irish nationals, or EEA nationals with pre-settled or settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme and those who have lived in the UK for at least three years.
If you do not currently meet this criteria, you may still be able to attend our DFS courses if you have an eligible residency status, you will be required to provide further details regarding your status before you can be enrolled.

Acceptance on a KAE Skills Digital Skills course does not constitute an immigration sponsorship and no Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) certificate will be issued.

Before enrolling on an Digital Skills course you will need to complete an initial assessment. Please book an interview at your local centre.

Digital Skills courses are FREE.

Is this course for me

Living in a Digital Age covers topics such as being safe online, online shopping, banking, emails etc. It will help build confidence to those who want to know how to do everyday tasks which are switching to a digital format.

Additional Information

From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.

Assessment is needed before joining this course. Please contact your local centre to complete an application.

To get the most out of your course we recommend you attend at least 85% of your sessions. If you do have a pre-arranged commitments booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcome.
