- You must be ordinary resident in the UK at the start date of the course - Ordinary resident means you live in the UK and have chosen to live here for a settled purpose
- You must be a British citizen
- You must be aged 19 or over as at the 31st August 2025 for courses in the 2025/26 academic year
- You must agree to commit to and complete an Individual Learning Plan in agreement with your course tutor

Who can join this course
Autumn Reflections is the first chapter of the Me Project wellbeing series. It invites participants to explore their inner world through seasonal activities, creative expression, and mindful reflection. Each week contributes to the creation of a personal artefact—a journal, scrapbook, or digital presentation—that captures their journey through autumn.
Participants will engage in:
Nature-based activities (e.g., gardening, walks)
Creative arts (e.g., collage, painting, photography)
Music and sound exploration
Literature and journaling
Group discussions and community-building exercises
This course is open to:
- Adults seeking personal development and emotional wellbeing
- Those interested in creative expression and nature-based activities
- Community members looking to connect with others in a supportive environment
No prior experience in arts or gardening is required—just a willingness to explore and reflect.

Course aims
By the end of the course you should be able to:
* Explore personal experiences and seasonal changes through nature-based and creative activities
* Reflect on emotional wellbeing and personal growth using journaling and group discussions
* Create a personal artefact that integrates insights from weekly activities, including art, music, and gardening
* Collaborate with peers to share perspectives, co-create projects, and build a supportive learning environment
* Present a final artefact that demonstrates individual development and collective learning throughout the course
You will also be asked to think of Personal Aims to individualise your learning experience, as well as another benefits the course may have.
Participants will be provided with a sheet of paper each week to contribute to their personal artefact. To support creative activities, you can basic supplies such as coloured pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, paints, brushes, and recycled or natural materials for collage and crafts.
Optional items like cameras or smartphones can help document progress, and decorative materials such as stickers may enhance journaling.
All sheets will be bound together during the final session to complete the artefact.
Building on the autumn journey, Spring Awakening invites participants to explore themes of renewal and hope.
Activities will include:
• Planting and nurturing spring gardens
• Exploring light, colour, and movement in art
• Soundscapes of spring and music-making
• Vision boards and future planning
• Creating a new artefact focused on aspirations and growth
This course is scheduled to not be running on the following dates:
- Friday, 24 October 2025
- Friday, 31 October 2025
From 1st August 2024, the Department for Education (DfE) require that learners attending this course must identify their primary purpose for learning. This course is not available for learners whose main aim is to learn a hobby, or for leisure/pleasure.
To get the most out of your course we recommend you attend at least 85% of your sessions. If you do have a pre-arranged commitments booked during term time, please let the tutor know in advance so that we can help you catch up on missed sessions and ensure that you still achieve the course outcome.
