Courses provide an opportunity for students to learn and develop skills, techniques. Tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including demonstration, instructions, and one-to-one tutorial guidance. It is important to note that craft courses are practical, requiring a degree of manual dexterity. Students will need to participate fully to get the most out of the course. Our courses are taught by qualified and experienced tutors most of whom are practising craftspeople.

Crochet hooks will be available to use at the lesson, or to purchase (£2.50) and materials provided at a cost of no more than £2 cash payable to the tutor direct. Or you can bring your own 4mm hook and a selection of DK yarn along with you.

During your course, your tutor will offer guidance in your personal progression route.
Courses are designed to progress students to higher levels of the Art. In addition, our courses support application to "Access to Degree Foundation courses" leading to Higher Education opportunities.

No previous experience necessary, though prior knowledge of how to hold yarn and hook is advantageous, and the day is also ideal for those who already know how to work basic crochet stitches.
